How it works

Conversion happens at payout

A payment travels from your customer’s card to your bank account. If a currency change is needed along the way, it is applied at the payout step, not at checkout.

1

The customer pays

They are charged in the currency of the link, code, invoice, or checkout they used. That is the amount they see on their card statement.

2

Your account sets the payout currency

Your payouts settle into an eligible local bank account, in the currency that account accepts. That currency depends on the market you registered your business in.

3

Any difference is converted

If the two currencies are not the same, the amount is converted before it reaches your account, at the rate in effect when the conversion is made. If they match, nothing is converted.

The transaction fee on your plan is separate from any conversion. See pricing for the fee on Free, Brand, and Pro.

Calculator

Try a conversion

Enter an amount and pick two currencies. The result uses the indicative sample rates published further down this page, so treat it as an illustration rather than a quote.

Rate calculator

Indicative sample rates only. Not live market data, and not a quote for a payout.

Converted amount (indicative) — Enter an amount to convert.

The figure above is produced from the fixed sample rates in the table below. It does not include your plan’s transaction fee, and it is not the rate that would be applied to an actual payout.

Sample rates

The indicative sample rates used here

These are the fixed figures the calculator reads. They are samples chosen to illustrate the arithmetic. They are not live market rates and they do not update.

Each row shows the sample number of units per 1 US dollar.

Scroll the table sideways to see every column. The currency column stays in place.

These rates are samples, not market data

Atlas Pay does not quote live rates on this page. Nothing here is fetched from a rate feed, and the numbers do not change. Use the calculator to understand the shape of a conversion, then check your merchant portal for the figures that apply to your own payouts.

The currency set on the payment link, QR code, invoice, subscription, or store checkout they paid through. That is the amount that appears on their card statement.

The currency your eligible local bank account accepts, which depends on the market your business is registered in. Not every country Atlas Pay serves has a payout currency listed publicly; see Countries for the ones that do.

At payout. The customer is charged in the payment’s currency, and if your payout currency is different the amount is converted before it reaches your bank account, at the rate in effect at that moment.

No. They are indicative samples held in the page so the calculator has something to work with. They are not live market rates, they do not refresh, and they are not a quote for any payout.

The plan fee is quoted in US dollars and is the same everywhere: 4.9% + $0.40 on Free and Brand, and 4.2% + $0.40 on Pro. It is separate from any currency conversion. See pricing.

Then there is nothing to convert. The payment moves to your payout in the same currency it was collected in.
